I am a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was taught to sew by my “Granny” when I was six or seven years old.  (Yes, I learned on an old fashioned “treadle” machine in the early 40’s!) I have sewed most of my life, it seems to be my therapy, and when a friend complained that she never had a pad and pen by the telephone now that she uses a walker I made the first tote to hang on her walker and carry her note pad.  She liked it so well that I made one for another friend and they have evolved from there.Lightweight, yet sturdy, easy to attach and so handy for pen, paper, eyeglasses, even cell phones, they simplify life for the homebound.
